Purgatory (planet)

Purgatory was the planet where the Imperial Landsknechte headquarters were located in the 30th century. It had one moon.
The planet was used as a training ground. The surface had been divided into thousands of hexagons, each one hundreds of kilometres wide. The hexagons were separated by force walls and had varied terrains so Landsknechte troops could fight under any conditions after they left. Some of the environments duplicated were the jungles of Ybarraculos Epsilon, the acid ice-cap of Throssa with its deadly icefish and the ruined emerald cities of Dargol and their dangerous jewelwraiths.
