Quantum lances were weapons used by the Veltrochni. They had the power to penetrate a planet's crust and cause a devastating eruption, but they were primarily designed to be used against the Tzun. The Tzun stormblades had hulls were made of Terullian and were protected by graviton shielding. The team led by Vacano on the Earth Empire Darkheart colony salvaged a quantum lance from a Veltrochni Dragon they destroyed, and used it to enhance the directional targeting of the Darkheart.
