Race memory malaise was an instinctive fear that humans had in the presence of Silurians, making them behave irrationally. In 1993, the Seventh Doctor and Liz Shaw built a telepathic emission dampener to help alleviate the effects while the Doctor was on the alternate Earth ruled by the Silurians. (PROSE: Blood Heat)
