Rameau was a version of Sabbath in an alternate timeline.
In that timeline, the Oracle saved him from drowning in 1762 instead of the Council of Eight. Using his version of the Jonah, he travelled forward in time to alter critical historical events, undoing the work of the Sabbath from the primary universe. However, when the Oracle tried to feed on the Eighth Doctor in 2003, Rameau tried to stop it. The Oracle killed Rameau instead. (PROSE: The Domino Effect)
