A recoronation was a repeat of the coronation ceremony in which a monarch received their crown again. After being briefly deposed by Ice Lord Xznaal in May 1997, Queen Elizabeth II had her recoronation, the only recoronation in the history of the United Kingdom, on 23 November that year.
