Biography[[edit] | [edit source]]

Reverend Folgate was a vicar in a church in London, England, for which his wife often sewed hassocks.

The couple favoured their eldest son Gerald over Norton, on account of the latter's homosexuality and his working for Torchwood. (AUDIO: Ghost Mission [+]Loading...["Ghost Mission (audio story)"]) Reverend Folgate's church survived the Second World War, (AUDIO: The Unbegotten [+]Loading...["The Unbegotten (audio story)"]) after which he and his wife moved to the Cotswolds (AUDIO: Ghost Mission [+]Loading...["Ghost Mission (audio story)"]) where he became vicar of St Bede's-in-the-Wold. Lizbeth Hayhoe correctly identified Norton as the son of a parson when they first met in 1951, claiming that she could tell from his posture and the way that he crept. (AUDIO: Parasite [+]Loading...["Parasite (audio story)"])
