The Rift Illusion were beings created by Bilis Manger, using rips in time generated by the Rift Manipulator. They were intended to convince members of Torchwood to open the rift and allow Abaddon to rise. They simulated Lisa Hallett, when targeting Ianto Jones, Diane Holmes when targeting Owen Harper and, when targeting Toshiko Sato, her mother. The only members they weren't used on were Gwen Cooper, who was convinced by the death of Rhys Williams and Jack Harkness, who was too strong. (TV: End of Days)
