Robogrons were what Yeorgi called the Ogrons who were subject to robotization by the Daleks like the human-turned Robomen. During the Last Great Time War, Susan Foreman encountered Robogrons on Florana. (AUDIO: The Uncertain Shore)
Earlier, the Dalek Survival Guide claimed that the Daleks started using Ogrons as shock troops as an alternative to Robomen following the failure of the 2150s Dalek invasion of Earth; the guide suggested that the Ogrons' natural stupidity made them easier to control than humans and so eliminated the need for the time-consuming robotisation process.
