Rocket ZA685 was a spacecraft designed by Professor Daniel Eldred in the 21st century. It was abandoned by the government after it stopped using rockets, but Eldred kept it in his museum, preparing it for a trip into space.
When the Ice Warriors invaded the T-Mat moonbase, Eldred allowed Commander Julian Radnor to prime the rocket for a trip to the Moon, with the Second Doctor, Jamie McCrimmon and Zoe Heriot serving as its crew. The rocket made the trip successfully, but the landing severely damanged the rocket's engines, preventing the rocket from taking off again. The Doctor, Jamie and Zoe later returned to Earth using T-Mat, leaving the rocket on the Moon's surface. (TV: The Seeds of Death)
