Rosa was a resident of 1909 London. After her husband had been abusing her for some time, she snapped and killed him.
When Bernice Summerfield was arrested for the murder of Margaret Waterfield, Rosa was one of the other prisoners. She was going to be executed the following week. The Brotherhood of the New Dawn had her try to find where Benny had hidden the TARDIS key, but she did not succeed. Rosa was beaten by one of the warders, Shanklin, for her failure.
