Roy Stewart
Roy Stewart (15 May 1925-27 October 2008[1]) had credited roles in two Doctor Who television stories: as Toberman in The Tomb of the Cybermen and Tony in Terror of the Autons. He also had an uncredited role as a Saracen warrior in The Crusade. (DWM 259)

Stewart came to Britain in the 1940s, intending to study for the medical profession, but ended up in the theatre. Noticing the shortage of ethnic stuntmen in films, he found work as a double who didn't need to "black up." In 1954 he founded his own gymnasium in Kensington. Roy Stewart's Gym, as it was known, was notable for its multi-racial membership policy. Outside of Doctor Who, he also starred in Jean-Luc Goddard's Sympathy for the Devil and the boatman Quarrel Junior, James Bond's ally, in Live and Let Die. For more than forty years, he was also the proprietor of a Caribbean restaurant and nightclub in Bayswater, The Globe.[2]
