Rylan Winsell was an amateur archaeologist who worked with Bernice Summerfield but wanted to be an artist. He warned her about the way people were cautious around people lying or being unconventional. He wanted to leave the planet but couldn't due his father's illness. He didn't like the counsellor who had died and worked out that all the ones who had been murdered were the evil ones. He went missing in the catacombs.
