Sam was a student of the Park Vale Comprehensive School and a friend of Maria Jackson.
In the 2000s he went to a school trip to the Stone Whisperers together with Clyde Langer, Luke Smith, Maria Jackson, Mr Bradbury and Sarah Jane Smith. He got travel-sick, and a bucket was kept on hand in case of an emergency. (AUDIO: The Thirteenth Stone)
