Scientist Dalek (Victory of the Daleks)

From Tardis Wiki, the free Doctor Who reference

The first Scientist Dalek of the New Dalek Paradigm was created as one of five new Dalek types by the Dalek Progenitor aboard the New Dalek Empire's last surviving ship above Earth in 1941 when the last three Daleks tricked the Eleventh Doctor into allowing them to activate the last Progenitor. The five new Daleks escaped through a time corridor and went on to rebuild their empire. (TV: Victory of the Daleks) After the five formed a new Supreme Council and built an army, the Scientist Dalek, at the behest of the Strategist, began work on the Dalek puppets. As a result of the New Dalek Paradigm's repeated failures, the five founders were eventually demoted to a token presence in the new Parliament of the Daleks, being subordinate to its Prime Minister. (PROSE: The Astounding Untold History of the Greatest Enemies of the Universe)

After the decision-making of the Parliament was crippled by their forgetting the Doctor, (TV: Asylum of the Daleks) they responded to the Question emanating from the planet Trenzalore. The Scientist analysed the message but it refused to be translated. When the Prime Minister was driven mad upon remembering the Doctor, the Supreme Dalek exterminated it, allowing the original Paradigm Daleks to resume command of the Empire to marshal its forces against the foe they now remembered. Though the founders of the Paradigm came close to victory, they and their empire were ultimately felled by the Doctor at the Siege's conclusion. Behind the scenes[[edit] | [edit source]]

  • As with its fellow new Daleks, the Scientist Dalek in Victory of the Daleks was depicted with a specially created prop. This prop was later modified to serve as the static Stone Dalek in The Big Bang.[1]
