Secker was the navigator of the Empress under Captain Rigg. He was a vraxoin addict. While under the influence of the drug he incorrectly programmed the ship's coordinates, causing the Empress to collide with the Hecate upon emerging from hyperspace above the planet Azure. While getting more vraxoin, he was attacked by a Mandrel. Despite all efforts of the ship's medics to save him, he died from his wounds. (TV: Nightmare of Eden)
