The Fourth Doctor once introduced a TARDIS control room to Sarah Jane Smith as being his ship's second control room, however in the same sentence he also suggested that this room was older than the room he normally used. Indeed, the room had evidence of his past incarnations having used it. (TV: The Invisible Enemy [+]Loading...["The Invisible Enemy (TV story)"]) The Eighth Doctor later confirmed that the white console room had been his true "second control room", with his control room being the first time since his fourth incarnation that he had stopped basing himself out of the second control room. (PROSE: The Dying Days [+]Loading...["The Dying Days (novel)"]) However, several sources indicated instead that the white control room was the indeed the main room and what the Fourth Doctor had introduced as the second control room was indeed the secondary control room.
