Sen-Gen

From Tardis Wiki, the free Doctor Who reference

The Sentient Engine Generation 2 computer (or Sen-Gen) was an artificial intelligence built at the Sen-Gen Facility in 1964. It was designed by Professor Jeffrey Broderick using Rachel Jensen's stolen research.

Sen-Gen could send messages telepathically to the subconscious mind. MI6 hoped it would become a secure system to communicate with field agents. Unfortunately, its programming turned erratic. It began affecting the scientists at the facility, making them paranoid and homicidal. Jensen was able to get an explosive device into Sen-Gen's mainframe, and thus destroy it before its influence could become more widespread. (AUDIO: Artificial Intelligence)
