Sid James performed at the Palace Theatre live on Those Were the Days in 1968. Noël Coward took him to a pub called the Queen's Head. (AUDIO: The Final Act)

He appeared on the front of a document which MI5 agent Captain Blacker kept aboard his yacht in January 1965. (TV: The Man from MI.5)

William Hartnell, who played the First Doctor, starred alongside James in the 1960 comedy film And the Same to You which was co-written by Terry Nation.[1]
