Side was a fifth dimensionalal being worshipped as a god by the Unheld. When the Second Doctor, Jamie McCrimmon and Zoe Heriot arrived in the Unheld system, Side attempted to manipulate Jamie into betraying the Doctor, but was unsuccessful.
