Silas was a scientist and prospector. His and Catrona's ship was dragged down to Skaro when it reappeared.
Silas and Catrona met the Second Doctor a week later after they found Celestin's TARDIS, which the Doctor hoped to be able to repair to get them off of Skaro. The trio went to the Dalek City to find Celestin, but Catrona was infected with Dalek particles and Silas was exterminated. (AUDIO: The Final Beginning)
