The Silverfire was a weather condition that occurred on Serac. It was a snow storm that could last for over a week, with winds going over a thousand kilometres an hour.
The Betrothal of Sontar had difficulties with the Silverfire when they were on Serac, since they were forced to stop all operations. Colonel Snathe used it as a method of execution, since it could kill a Sontaran in six minutes. He later fell victim to it when the Inuk threw him outside during a Silverfire.
