Simone Agani

Simone Agani was the surveyor for the dig on Jaiwan. She came from a colony that had been genetically altered so that they could cope with UV rays better than normal humans. She found several possible sites of interest on the planet, some of which gained information on the indigenous sapient species. In the army she was a Surface Fire control officer, and was later promoted to captain when an archaeological unit was formed. (PROSE: Genius Loci)
