The singing crystals were sentient crystals who spread with sound. They were ruled by the Grand Crystal.
They sought out biological beings to steal the chemicals needed to attain new, wonderful forms. Captured biologicals would be turned into living matter reservoirs. (PROSE: The Singing Crystals)
