The Skandis War was a conflict fought on the Skandis homeworld, as well as a pocket dimension. It was a war between humans from Earth (mostly students of Coal Hill Academy and the surrounding Shoreditch area) and the Skandis.

Though it's not known in what time period it was fought, from the perspective of the human combatants, it was fought in 2016. It was also difficult for the human combatants to determine how long the conflict had gone on for, as time passed much more quickly within the conflict than it did on Earth.

Events[[edit] | [edit source]]

The war was orchestrated by the Organisation, so they could take over the Skandis homeworld. Having decided that they did not want to be openly seen slaughtered the Skandis, they decided to use humans to do the fighting as it would keep their involvement unknown and allow them to pin the blame on Earth.

In late 2016, the Organisation came to Earth and set up a fake online charity campaign involving dangerous stunts called truthordare.com. The intention of the campaign was to select individuals from humanity to be taken to a pocket dimension, and used as a battleforce. The pocket dimension itself had a transdimensional door, through which the Skandis homeworld could be accessed.

To aid in the promotion of their campaign, the Organisation stole a well-known vlogger called Seraphin and put him in the pocket dimension. They told him that the Skandis were malicious creatures, ready to enact a plan to invade Earth, and would not let him leave. Throughout the early days of fighting, Seraphin would be publicly recording vlogs for use back on Earth and privately rallying the humans within the pocket dimension about the necessity for them to keep fighting.

Whenever humans took part in the charity campaign promoted by Seraphin, the Organisation took them to the pocket dimension. These humans - the majority of which were Coal Hill students - were indoctrinated and drugged so that they would believe the beautiful and kind Skandis were carnivorous and violent tentacled creatures. This deception was aided by the use of battle headsets that would present a false impression of the Skandis.

Whilst the humans fought and killed many Skandis, and the Skandis retaliated, the Organisation made a significant profit by broadcasting the headset cams of the human combatants to Pay-Per-View websites on far-off planets, which people would watch the conflict with great delight. Aftermath[[edit] | [edit source]]

More details need added

Staying behind in the pocket dimension, Andrea Quill stood by the wall of her room to wait for the members of the Organisation to show themselves. Though they did not answer her as she spoke, she was aware that they were in the wall and listening to her. She shot the wall with the gun that they had previously given her to fight the Skandis with. As they were in the wall, the gun's genome-lock was not active, and the blast killed the Organisation members. They fell out of the wall as dead charred corpses.
