Sky City

Sky City was regarded as the showpiece of civilisation on Earth in the 453rd century. It was home to humans and several alien species. It was a huge (and expensive) place to live when it was first built above the remains of the old New Eurozone, which was destroyed in the Genetic Soil Wars. Its anti-gravity generators were expensive to run and demanded high taxes, but the city rulers later accepted and embraced Laydon's invention of an advanced gravity converter ten times more energy efficient and cheaper.
Sky City was policed by "the Cops", blue uniformed, armed guards with a "Cop" insignia branded on their cheeks. (COMIC: Skydive!)
