The sneg was a type of edible, hairy salamander. The Doctor had a sneg stew in a bistro on Sirius Two, which tasted somewhat like chicken curry. Standard ingredients included two pints of sneg blood, three ounces of crushed sneg eyes and six ounces of water. (PROSE: Island of Death)
