The Robots Ad [+]Loading...["Robots Ad (TV story)"], an Australian television commercial which featured a licensed appearance by the Daleks, was produced by Soma Films, being directed by its flagship director Sean Meehan. With the short releasing in early March 2005,[1] it would have constituted one of the studio's very first projects, as its website would use "A Production Company Since 2005" beginning around 2019.[2]

Although occasionally branching out into more independent forms of filmmaking, the company continued to primarily produce licensed commercials over the course of its long and successful existence, notably working with world-famous director Wes Anderson on the one-minute short Le Apartomatic as an advertisement for Belgian brewery Stella Artois in 2011.[3] The website's name displayed as "Soma Films by Sean Meehan" until at least November 2020,[4] but by 25 January 2021, the byline had been dropped in favour of making the "A Production Company Since 2005" tagline part of the display name,[5] with Meehan moving on to the affiliated MOFA.tv.
