Sontaran code

From Tardis Wiki, the free Doctor Who reference

The Sontaran code was a code of contact to which Sontaran warriors were bound, and which they were meant to memorise.

Even after eighty years in human captivity, Commander Brak recalled it by heart, struggling to reconcile its absolute, unforgiving precepts with the compromises he had been forced to make during his decades on Earth. He was frantically reciting it to himself when he was met with a Sontaran envoy sent to Earth to seek out the "deserter". Hearing him hesitate over the final words, concerning the sharing of information with lesser species — the very article which Brak had most egregiously flouted by giving human armies information on how to create Cobalt Blue weaponry — the Sontaran envoy mocked Brak for his apparently faulty recollection of the Sontaran code. As a Sontaran warrior, I will ignore laws and constitutions in battle. I will claim spoils only for the greater good of the Empire. No life-form shall be spared unless for the greater good of the Empire. No treaty or truce will be entered into unless for the greater good of the Empire. No planet, star, or territory will be aided unless for the greater good of the Empire. No species shall be granted immunity from attack unless for the greater good of the Empire. It is an act of treason to divulge information to any species under any circumstances.Commander Brak (AUDIO: Old Soldiers)
