Speaker (Have I Told You Lately?)
The speaker was part of the Ark of Whispers systems. It tried to communicate with the Unbound Doctor and Bernice Summerfield. It repeated phrases spoken by them. Benny theorised that it learnt via repetition, using the different ways of phrasing things between Benny and the Doctor. It used the phrases learnt from both of them to identify the processes to switch things on. It eventually learnt more language to be more useful to the Doctor and Benny. It communicated messages between the two of them. It started to confuse conversations and then become manipulative. It eventually let them communicate directly between them. The Doctor used the TARDIS tuner to help it learn better so it could divert the ship crashing into a populated planet. All the knowledge it from the Doctor and Benny was wiped from it's memory because of this, and it decided to undo all the knowledge it had learned to return to it's sacred duty.
