The basic idea works, I guess? I really don't see the point, but, sure, w/e, I can live with it. The wording doesn't quite work though. Let's try this.

→Plot: Think this is a good compromise. Lindy not instantly re-recognising him doesn't change the fact that he's already been introduced as the Doctor to her and that he's returned to her perspective in exactly the same way. Also from a grammar perspective, considering that it returns to "Doctor" almost immediately afterwards as Ruby calls him that again, the references to "her friend" on the last revision just disappear without context.
