Reverend Gordon Yarwood was the minister of St Cuthbert's Church, Edinburgh in 1759. He is described as: "Tall, with a bald scalp pushing up through a ring of greying hair and a beard that circled the bottom of his face as if to compensate." ([[NSA]]: ''[[The Many Hands]]''). He leads the Doctor, Mcallister and his soldiers to safety, sheltering them inside the Church. He had faith, but also intelligence, which led him to believe that the walking dead were a result of an earthly event, and not the apocalypse. He is concerned that he is not as popular among the congregation as the previous minister, Neil McVicar.
