The merge proposal makes sense on its face, but there's a complication: [[Jean-Luc Picard]] treats the character as an actual person who interacts with the Doctor and his friends, but [[Jean Luc Picard]] treats the character as a fictional character within the ''Doctor Who'' universe. Oopsy! I've just double checked ''Syntax'' and it is spelt Jean-Luc.
