Like the majority of [[Steven Moffat]]'s fellow [[executive producer]]s, she had worked for the {{w|Kudos (production company)|Kudos production company}} prior to her involvement with ''Doctor Who''.  She had, for instance, worked on {{wi|Outcasts}}, [[production designer|production designed]] by [[Ed Thomas]]; and {{wi|The Fixer (TV series)|The Fixer}}, with [[Tamzin Outhwaite]] and [[Liz White]].  She therefore shares with [[Matt Smith]] a professional connection to {{w|Ben Richards (writer)|writer Ben Richards}}, who not only created these two shows, but also Smith's early television gig, {{wi|Party Animals|Party Animals}}.
