High Five City: Why would the BBC ever think "the show will tank if they replace Smith"? It didn't before they got him. Even if they wanted to stop making the show, they could easily do what they did before -- stop with the Doctor still alive. The only reason to try to kill the Doctor off is to try to prevent the show ever being revived again. They know reviving it worked once & made lots of money.
