: We don't make speculation or rumours outside of Howling:The Howling, and T:OFF REL says that we only mention when a show or plotline ends on "namespace 0" pages when the ending is actually published or aired in its entirety. We're not allowed to actually refer to future unreleased stories, whether they belong to the Eleventh, Twelfth, or Eightieth Doctor. As the warning at the top of every edit page says, "This site cares about the Doctor's past, not his future." -- Tybort (talk page) 19:55, August 17, 2013 (UTC)

Closing out the show
Closing out the show
Moffat's tenure as head writer of Doctor Who has been met with modestly positive feedback. However, some fans have speculated that Moffat intends to close up the Doctor Who storylines once and for all with the upcoming twelfth (or is it thirteenth?) incarnation. Furthermore, it is believed that Moffat intended this from the start and has been manipulating Dr Who plotlines to this end all along. This theory, although currently unsubstantiated, has infuriated the fans who feel initially that the story should last forever if not on TV and also that Steven Moffat - who has actually done very little for the show in terms of breaking new ground or developing plotlines effectively- should NOT be the one with the honor of ending it. A campaign was started in June 2013 on facebook hoping to make fans aware of this possible conspiracy and to gain support - in the form of page likes - to convince BBC officials not to follow through with Moffats plan.
