Yeah you are correct - that doesn't really make sense in terms of videogame development. I can't find any reference to that date anywhere either - only that the info was added by an admin on March 17 2012, so I'd assume that the date is accurate and something was mistaken somewhere along the way. Perhaps there was a beta that was leaked in 2012 (which was actually developed in 2009 ish), or it was an open-beta in 2010 and only actually went came out of it and went full release in 2012... or there was a massive update and reissue in 2012.
