After the Master was sucked the [[Eye of Harmony]] in [[the Doctor's TARDIS]], some rumours posited that he remained trapped there, his mind transferred into an android body, acting as the Doctor's [[companion]] or [[pet]]. ([[PROSE]]: ''[[A Brief History of Time Lords (novel)|A Brief History of Time Lords]]'') Though he personally selected his new appearance, ([[NOTVALID]]: ''[[Scream of the Shalka (novelisation)|Scream of the Shalka]]'') the Master was less than happy with this arrangement, saying that it was "an offer I was foolish enough to accept". He also said that he "was of aid to the Doctor during the events that damaged him". He could not leave the TARDIS because his android body was limited to functioning inside it.
