It features revised instalments of [[Andrew Pixley]]'s contributions to the ''Archive'' feature in ''[[Doctor Who Magazine]]'' and ''[[Doctor Who Magazine Special Edition]]'', covering the making of ''[[Doctor Who]]''{{'}}s stories on television, along with some cases where features have been written from scratch specifically for ''The Complete History''. ([[DWM 490]]) [[John Ainsworth]] was initially the sole editor, but later on he alternated his role with [[Mark Wright]], with Ainsworth editing the even-numbered issues and Wright editing the odd-numbered ones.
