Its more a virtual reality than anything else. The mirror aspect is basically a gateway to a parallel world that exists solely in the mirror itself. Once the Doctor works out what's going on he tricks the system and finds that in reality he has been stood next to the TARDIS the whole time, where in the Utopia window it was miles away. It's a lot like the Matrix (the film), actually. | |||
