::: True, but the dating of the Steven Moffat era got hard to follow after The Power of Three, what with the the Year of the Slow Invasion that was never mentioned again.BananaClownMan ☎ 20:13, September 23, 2018 (UTC)

::::Well... given the fact that much of Eleven's one doesn't really take place on (then-)present day Earth, you can work around it. Many of the same days could easily have been relived by Amy and Rory multiple times. The Year of the Slow Invasion is a 12-month(-ish) event and the following story takes place in 2012 and the past. The (then-)present day Earth bits in Series 5, 6 and 7-pt. 1 can easily be said to be taking place at the same time given that we hardly see their lives at home. --DCLM ☎ 20:43, September 23, 2018 (UTC)

Solving the Controversy?
Solving the controversy?
As far as I can tell, this controversy can be solved if the 2 year gap between The Wedding of River Song (April 2011) and the Doctor visiting the Ponds in The Doctor, the Widow, and the Wardrobe (Christmas) can be assumed to be 1 year 8 months, rather than 2 years 8 months. This seems like the most logical way to round in this case. This would pull the Pond's stories back a year, importantly leaving The Power of Three in 2015, since this is when the Doctor and Kate Stewart first meet.
The other assumption must be that The Day of the Doctor has to be assumed to have taken place in 2015, a significant time after The Name of the Doctor (2013) and crucially after The Power of Three. Is this a valid assumption, or is it stated that this episode occurs in 2013 at some point? I've never found any evidence for that.
This means The Time of the Doctor occurs in Christmas 2015, and the entire Clara-Twelve era occurs in 2016, before her death is acknowledged in For Tonight We Might Die(October 2016) Danochy ☎ 09:52, September 26, 2018 (UTC)
