==Discontinuity on the Doctor Falling==

On the continuity note concerning The Doctor falling through the skylight and it not killing him, unlike what happened to its Fourth Incarnation three things should be noted. 1)It is rather unclear exactly how far The Doctor has fallen, he seems to be falling through the air for a few second but that might well be a bit of dramatic license. 2)There is no way of predicting how a fall will effect someone, there have been a few lucky people who have fallen thousands of feet and lived through it(although granted not ever, to my knowledge, through glass and/or onto a hard stone floor) whereas others have fallen only a few feet and been seriously injured. It also looks like the window breaks his fall a bit before it breaks which might just have slowed him enough to live through it, although it is also obvious The Doctor has been hurt pretty badly. 3)The Fourth Doctor was at the end of his regeneration anyway hence the presence of The Watcher, there are numerous references and hints throughout season 18 that the Fourth Doctor is getting on in years. This is also evident in the fact that The Doctor isn't pushed off the Radio Telescope, nor does he jump, he loses his grip and considering that in a previous shot he seems to have a good grip and hold on the tower that would seem to indicate, at least to me, that he is quite weak to begin with. In edition the Fourth Doctor has accepting his impending regeneration, unlike the Tenth, and doesn't fight it off.
