There is no reference made to the master following his 'fight' with rassilon, he could have been taken to gallifrey and into the time-lock, he could have used up his life-force or disintegrated - who knows, it is just speculation there is no confirmation of what happened which i think is so the doorway is left open for the master to return, although giving john simm an ending as the master. | |||
