Doctor Who? (DWM 147 comic story): Difference between revisions

The [[Seventh Doctor]] explains to [[Ace]] the original plans for the [[Kandyman]] which had to be abandoned because of design problems.

* The Doctor tells Ace that one of his previous [[regeneration]]s was going to battle the [[Kandyman]] but there were problems with the design.

* Nathan-Turner asks whose idea it was to make the Kandyman a giant [[jelly baby]] while the Fourth Doctor begins [[drool]]ing and starts to [[eating|eat]] it.

* This story references the [[Seventh Doctor]] and [[Ace]]'s encounter with the [[Kandyman]] in ''[[The Happiness Patrol (TV story)|The Happiness Patrol]]''. The design of the Kandyman in that story was also a subject of much controversy; the similarities to the mascot of Bassett Foods, Bertie Bassett, led to a letter of complaint from the company and an assurance by [[John Nathan-Turner]] to them that the character would not reappear in the series.
