On the Circle line, Aldgate was located between [[Tower Hill tube station|Tower Hill]] and [[Liverpool Street tube station|Liverpool Street]]. On the pink line, it acted as a terminus located south of Liverpool Street, though the line branched off eastwards between the two stations. It was located north of the [[River Thames]].
