As the Web snatches a flask of Floronite, the Doctor realises it is the floronite that is feeding the Web and making it grow so large. Emptying the Floronite away the Web is instead fed with plain water. The water dilutes the Floronite and the Web quickly shrinks back down in size to a harmless brain-seed.
