Locutus of Borg: Difference between revisions

In a [[Federation universe|parallel universe]], '''Locutus of Borg''' was the identity which was forced upon [[Jean-Luc Picard]] when he was [[assimilation|assimilated]] by [[Borg (species)|the Borg]].

The Borg intended to use Picard to facilitate the [[surrender]] of the [[United Federation of Planets]]. Standing aboard a [[Locutus' cube|Borg cube]], Locutus oversaw the [[Battle of Wolf 359|battle]] against [[Starfleet]] at [[Wolf 359]], a [[fixed point in time]] which saw the deaths of 11,000 Starfleet personnel. During the battle, Locutus came face to face with the [[Eleventh Doctor]] who, accompanied by [[Amy Pond]] and [[Rory Williams]], had [[time travel|travelled]] back in [[the TARDIS]] to acquire the Borg Collective's [[executive routine]]s for their future conflict with the [[Cybermen]]. However, due to the nature of the Collective, Locutus saw them as insignificant and so took no action before they promptly left.

Ultimately, Picard was rescued by the crew of the [[USS Enterprise (NCC-1701-D)|USS ''Enterprise''-D]] before the [[Borg cube]] was destroyed, defeating the Borg [[invasion]]. Though Picard was freed from the [[Borg Collective]] with the assistance of [[Data (Assimilation²)|Data]], the Borg continued to refer to him by the name Locutus.
