'''Ulla''' was the [[leader]] of the people of [[Corbo]]. When a green-skinned humanoid race attempted to invade his world with an army led by [[Lohk]], Ulla sent his [[devil-bird (The Devil-Birds of Corbo)|devil-birds]] to defeat and kill them. They also captured members of an [[Earth]]-[[Mars]] expedition to Corbo. The [[First Doctor]] arrived in search of the spaceship crew and prevented them from being executed. He tried to convince Ulla of his friendly intentions, but Ulla believed he was a [[spy]] and attacked him. The Doctor fended him off, but just then the green-skinned aliens launched another attack, allowing the Doctor and the spaceship crew to escape. Just before they left in [[the Doctor's TARDIS|the TARDIS]], Ulla tried to attack the Doctor again, but the Doctor hit him with his [[cane]].
