The Space Controller was the Time Lord to whom [[K9 MarK I]] reported during his time going on missions on behalf of Gallifrey. When the Time Lords heard worrying reports that the [[Zeta Cancri]] star system might go [[supernova]] due to the fallout of the [[nuclear war]] between the [[Megallan Empire]] and the planet [[Telios]], destroying nearby Gallifrey in the process, the Space Controller called K9 down from his test flying of the ''[[K-NEL]]'' and took him to meet before the [[Leader of the Time Lords (K9 and the Zeta Rescue)|Leader of the Time Lords]] and two of his advisors.
