The Technet group was created by Alan Davis for Marvel Comics in April 1985. This concept originally had no relation to the Special Executive created by Alan Moore for DWM in March 1981. However, when Moore made the transition to Marvel the Special Executive leader Wardog learned that Technet were an earlier version of his team. Afterwards many of Technet's team joined the Special Executive including; Fascination, Ringtoss and Numbers.
The Technet group was created by Alan Davis for Marvel Comics in 1985. The team were first referenced in the comic Law and Disorder from the second issue of Captain Britain Volume 2 with the team's leader Gatecrasher, and her telepathic pet lizard Yap, making their debut in the next issue's story Flotsam and Jetsam. The fourth issue's comic Sid's Story introduced the entire first incarnation of the Technet team including; Fascination, Thug, Ferro, Elmo, Ringtoss, Pandora and Paradok. Several of these characters had been reused from the previously established Special Executive team and had appeared in The Daredevils' Executive Action. This detail was refereneced in Sid's Story with Captain Britain recognising Fascination and Thug, it was explained that Fasincation was an earlier version than had previously been seen and that Thug was Legion's brother. Alarms and Excurisons would depict a storyline where most of the Technet roster joined the Special Executive.
