As they struggled back to the TARDIS, the time destructor accelerated time, withering the jungle and killing the frantic Daleks pursuing them. Sara herself succumbed to the effects, ageing to death in moments. The Doctor finally collapsed outside the TARDIS and was helped to safety by Steven.
